Introduction

InstantAtlas is award-winning software for publishing eye-catching, stand-alone, dynamic reports that make regional and local patterns in performance easy to see. It allows information professionals, analysts, policy advisors and management executives to view and explore patterns, monitor key indicators, present trends and support decision-making.

Title : Benefit claimants - working-age client group small area data : Single Map : SVG format
Desc: The data refers to numbers of working age benefit claimants and is derived from a 100% data source - the Work and Pensions Longitudinal Study (WPLS). The dataset provides counts of benefit claimants categorised by their statistical group (their main reason for interacting with the benefit system), gender and age. Percentages are based on the working age population (males 16-64) and females (16-59) from the 2001 Census (CAS Table 28).

Title : CACI Paycheck Household Income Data 2006 : Area Profile : SVG format
Desc: This map data represents the average household income for each MSOA (Mid-level Super Output Area) in Sandwell for the year 2006. It shows that the most affluent areas of the Borough are in the North-East and South, with a band of low-income households across the heart of Sandwell.

Title : Claimant Count Unemployment for Lower Layer Super Output Areas (LSOAs) : Single Map : SVG format
Desc: Claimant Count Unemployment records the number of people claiming Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) and National Insurance Credits. It is no longer an 'official' measure of unemployment, but it is the only indicative statistic available for areas smaller than Local Authorities. Rates are based on 'unofficial' working age resident population from the 2001 Census of Population (males 16-64 and females 16-59).
